Gum disease is an infection that affects the tissues and bone that support your teeth. Your gums pull away from your teeth and may become red, puffy, and swollen.
What causes Gum Disease?
Poor brushing and flossing habits allow plaque (sticky film with bacteria) to be left on your teeth and harden into tartar and over time builds up around teeth.
