Invisalign Q & A

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® is an FDA-approved treatment used by over 4 million people around the globe.

A team member at Hospitality Dental & Orthodontics evaluates and measures your mouth for a series of removable plastic-based clear aligners that will straighten your teeth progressively. These aligners are manufactured off-site, shipped to certified providers, and must be replaced every other week.

Invisalign treatment has none of the restrictions associated with braces. No metal. Less pain. No cuts.

Is Invisalign more effective than braces?

Invisalign is an entirely different treatment than braces.

Visibility and comfort

Invisalign aligners are clear, rounded, and custom-made for your mouth. This means you don’t run the risk of ruining your smile, cutting your lips on a brace’s rough surface, and having to get regular rubber band adjustments.

Usage flexibility

Unlike braces, you can remove your aligners whenever you see fit — though you should wear them as instructed by the team at Hospitality Dental & Orthodontics.

You can remove them to brush your teeth or eat foods that might damage braces (like jerky, carrots or candy).

How does it work?

A team member will create your individualized treatment plan after your initial consultation at Hospitality Dental & Orthodontics.

The dentist digitally maps out the projected result of the treatment and goes over it with you to make sure it’s what you’re looking for.

You can run through various possibilities until you find the plan that works for you. The digital map allows you to track the progression of the treatment so you can understand the details.

After you’ve chosen your treatment plan, you’ll have to wear your customer aligners from 20 to 22 hours a day.

*Individual results may vary

How long does the treatment last?

Each treatment is different, so its length varies from person to person. The team at Hospitality Dental & Orthodontics gives you an estimate of how long you can expect the treatment to last.

Usually, Invisalign treatments can take up to 18 months.
