The secret to a healthier, brighter smile!

the secret to a healthier brighter smile

Having a healthier, brighter smile is easier than you think. At Hospitality Dental Group, we want to share a few recommendations for achieving and maintaining the teeth of your dreams.

Here are 6 tips that can protect the health of your smile.

1. It's important what you eat.

Sugary, sweet treats, and carbonated drinks can be harmful to your oral health. Eat food that is rich in nutrients to keep your teeth strong and prevent any potential disease or cavities.

2. Always brush and floss.

This is obvious, but 1 out of 10 people forget to brush their teeth daily. It is important to brush your teeth two or three times a day for two minutes. Brushing and flossing can prevent gingivitis and tooth decay that can destroy your tooth enamel. Floss at least once a day to remove any food that is stuck between your teeth along with the plaque and bacteria.

3. Buy a new toothbrush.

Your teeth can benefit more from soft bristles because using a toothbrush with hard bristles can damage your gums. Always select a toothbrush with soft bristles or an electric toothbrush.

4. Treat problems immediately!

As soon as you are feeling severe pain or toothache, request a consultation at your local Hospitality Dental & Orthodontics office. We can help you find out what the issue is and let you know how it can be resolved.

5. Cut back on smoking.

Smoking can cause your gums to recede which can result in gingivitis, oral cancer, and other diseases. Cigarettes can also create permanent stains on your teeth that can soak into the enamel of your teeth and leave you with foul breath.

6. Visit your dentist regularly.

Seeing your dentist twice a year can ensure that your teeth and gums will remain healthy. Professional dental cleanings help prevent diseases, remove surface stains, and tartar buildup. Your provider will check for any signs of oral cancer and if caught early it can lead to better outcomes.
